success

pickupFor gross generalizations purposes I think people fall into 3 different categories and I am going to rant about it.

Different types:

1.  Anything is possible and I am going to keep pursuing what ever I want until I get it.  If it doesn’t work and I get knocked down, face rejection, I stand up brush off my shoulders and carry on. Over and over again, no matter what!!

2.  Then there are the people who have big dreams and goals but when they face rejection or difficulty, they crumble and shrink back.  They are always waiting for the perfect time and plan to take action again so they don’t have to suffer failure.  Not taking that class or following through on the work that it really takes to succeed.  Instead they complain that they don’t get it but never want to put the time and work in to achieve their goals.

3.  Then there is the type of person who thinks that nothing can work and basically the world is out to get them.  The ones that think life sucks and there is not point because “bad shit happens to good people.” The ones that don’t bother to try but complain about their shitty life all the time.

Honestly I am fed up and I am talking the gloves off.   I am not going to sugar coat my opinions and placate to anyone so if you don’t like my twisted version of reality don’t read my stuff.

For me success and achieving your goals all comes down to having a positive out look and being willing to try over and over again in the face of rejection.

Fuck rejection, IT DOES NOT MATTER.

Fuck failure, IF SOMETHING DOESN’T WORK TRY SOMETHING ELSE.

Fuck the fact that it takes a lot of work, DO OR DON’T BUT STOP WASTING YOUR AND MY TIME IF YOU DON’T WANT TO DO WHAT IT TAKES.

How do you expect to get anywhere in life if you don’t try and fail and try again.   Try again a thousand times or a million times.  What ever it takes,  that is my mentality.

Winston Churchill failed sixth grade. He was subsequently defeated in every election for public office until he became Prime Minister at the age of 62. He later wrote, “Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never – in nothing, great or small, large or petty – never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never, Never, Never, Never give up.” (his capitals, mind you)

The older I get the more [Click to Continue Reading…]

goals

I want to start off by thanking Legend and Edge for allowing me to post here regularly. I love what these guys are doing and a lot of what they talk about is actually what I talk about all day, every day to my clients and people around me. I hope that I can help build the momentum as we are all here to learn about how to improve our lives day by day to be the best we are capable of.

Earlier today, I came across an article about Tyler Durden (played by Brad Pitt) and his amazing quotes from Fight Club. If you haven’t seen it, you need to find a way to see it because this is a movie that will get you motivated. One of his memorable quotes is one that I want to talk about today.

“This is your life, and it’s ending one minute at a time.”

That’s right, guys. After you read this, will have 5-10 minutes less to live your life. The significance with this quote is that when we go out and are so worried about being the perfect worker or the perfect friend or the perfect guy for women, we forget one thing.

No one can be perfect. No one.

Yes, throughout time, baseball pitchers have pitched perfect games [Click to Continue Reading…]

by Legend Thoughts

How do you face your fears? I wish I had the answer. As a man we have to face our fears and above all in this game face uncertainty. We have to become comfortable with uncertainty and going with our instincts. I believe that this is a core, fundamental value to every man. Until you [...]

Edge – Don’t Accept Less Than You Want

by Edge Thoughts

Success can be a blessing and a curse. This summer has been crazy and I have definitely had some great and wild experiences, but the journey has just begun. During August, I had let myself get comfortable because I was thinking, “This is way better than where I was at 4 months ago.” And it’s [...]

Edge – Checking in, Life is Good

by Edge Thoughts

I’ve been consistently going out and pushing my edge with this stuff. And each week, I have been pushing my edge further and further out, but I have not really reflected on how far I’ve come. The first time I went out, I only approached one set and they blew me off. This last week, [...]
