Legend – Motivation Cycles

Everyone has certain things that motivate them.  We all know that motivation comes in cycles or waves.  Sometimes you feel like doing a lot and other times you don’t really feel doing anything. We get in moods, grooves, and sometimes ruts.

Just recently I have been taking a hard look at what I do mentally that either motivates me to take action or keeps me complacent.   Lately its been winter and that really slows me down.  I’ve been inside more and going out less.  Then I took a nice vacation in Miami so I’ve really been off the ball.

Now as spring approaches I feel a new breath.

Time to amp it up.  Get back to my roots and really push it to the next level.

Taking a hard look at how my brain operates.. I am usually in one of three modes.

Mode one:

I’ll do it later.  There is no point to doing it now.  Fake excuses and complacency.  This happens from time to time and a lot when I am not taking action.

Mode two:

Anger and motivation mode.  I find that personally I get frustrated and pissed at myself and start thinking of all the amazing things I could be doing if I just put my mind to it.  This fires up my motivation to a high peak and I feel like I am ready to do anything.  It is triggered by good weather, hot girls, or something that inspires me, or something that I am jealous of and I know if I just put in the effort I can get everything that I want.  This mode leads in two directions.  If I don’t take action soon I will revert back to mode one but more importantly if I harness the feeling of motivation in myself and start taking immediate action I sky rocket into mode three.

Mode three:

This is the on mode.  The more work and the more girls I game the more I do.  I am on and I can produce more and better results then anyone I know.  Edge is shocked he always says I am either off or on and by on 300% on with world domination in mind.  The key is for me to always start taking action everyday to stay in the groove mode.

Breaking down how I operate is extremely helpful for me to realize how I work and how I can become more productive.
