Legend – Blasting through our current sticking points Part 1

in Goals,Technique

When I’ve improved the fastest over the first few months it’s because I went out with the intention of working on a few very specific points. Mainly opening. Then I switched it up to vibing. Now I am at a point where I can open most nights fine and vibe indefinitely. I want to amp it up this as talked about in a my previous post on the next step I want to incorporate passions and eliciting values into each and every interaction.

Once I internalize that immediately I need to pick out new points that I can improve on and go out and test and get good with them.

This in itself can inherently can lead to problems because your mind will think crap there are so many micro things that I have to do to get good at this but in reality its not that many.

A second point is over arching goals. If you read into edges post he had the goals of getting a harem of women to have sex with and currently he has a few. Thus the problem arises. Your mind goes oh I have reached the goal now its time to slack off and the entire working out and everything from normal routines and practices goes to shit because you have reached the goal. We as organisms are naturally lazy. I set myself with the goal of being able to open and vibe well with people got that down then for two weeks lost my motivation and struggled for the next step. My normal sarges went to shit but I had an over arching goal of having sex with the bartenders which I am still trying to figure out so in the past weeks well my normal game went to shit my bartender game exploded. This illustrates an important point. We need two types of goals.

Over arching goals and small step by step goals. Picture your life where you want it to be and then picture the steps necessary to get there. I am going to hash them out here and now so I hopefully do not run into this lack of motivation.

Another piece of plateauing is when we dont’ experience anything new and don’t push ourselves out of our comfort zone. The harder you push yourself the fast you will get good at this.

Do the things you fear. Run toward the fear not away from it.

My key:

Set your goals. Big and small making a plan so you know the steps and have an overall goal to stay motivated. Most importantly once you reach a goal weather it be a small one or a large on immediately make yourself a new one. The next small step or if its an over all goal come up with your next over all goal. Right away. Sure you can go on vacation for a bit but this is the most important to jump right in again.

Keep the motivation up
