		<description>I still can&#039;t believe people think smiling is an IOI. Many people smile at everyone naturally, myself included. It doesn&#039;t mean they&#039;re interested, it just means they&#039;re being polite. Or they&#039;re in a good mood, or they&#039;re thinking about something great that happened to them earlier as they&#039;re talking to you (in which case it would actually be an indicator of being more interested in previous events than the conversation). I understand that these aren&#039;t meant to be paid attention to on their own (eg. JUST exposing her neck doesn&#039;t mean that she&#039;s suddenly interested if the other IOIs aren&#039;t there), but with smiling it&#039;s just completely out there - people smile. Some people smile at everyone. Same with laughing at what you&#039;re saying. If you&#039;re trying to be funny, polite people who are just trying to be nice are going to laugh whether or not they actually think that the joke is stupid.</description>
