Back in 2008, Nick (Legend) and I used to post feverishly on here. Almost daily. And we would religiously upload our weekly field reports (which are still up in the archives).

I think the most motivating thing for us was putting the message out there that normal guys could really succeed at game: even with severe approach anxiety, even with average looks, even if you have a boring job you hate.

But it wasn’t the schools of technique that set us free and gave us results. The different methods were enough to give us the courage to try, but they weren’t enough to get results.

I certainly wished that the gurus would set me free. How I would have loved it if just understanding Mystery Method, or acting cocky funny, or saying “magical lines” would give me results. It didn’t though – if anything, the more knowledge I collected, the more overwhelmed I felt. Collecting outer-game trinkets wasn’t the answer.

So inner game then… was that the answer? Well, no, not exactly.

I mean, I put a lot more stock into mastering your own inner game than outer game, but even still, understanding or even “doing” inner game work isn’t going to transform your life and give you the results you want.

What Nick and I were searching for (and eventually found) was…

Momentum game.

Only it didn’t exist. We had to create it out of real world experience.

What is momentum game?

Momentum game isn’t outer game and it isn’t inner game.  It’s inter-game.

It’s what you’re doing to take action in the real world to get results.

Getting back to what I was talking about at the beginning – when Nick and I were posting constantly, we used to joke with each other that almost everything we posted was about momentum and motivation.  It was about those moments that stood between taking action or not taking action.

Mastering that piece was what stood between getting results and not getting results.  It was the difference between action and inaction.  It was the difference between talking game and doing game.

But nobody had created a system around it.  Nobody took it all the way – a “guru” will spend a whole course convincing a student how and why his method/course is the ultimate solution to solving the girl problem.

And the student (me, in this case) would have a temporary bubble of inspiration, maybe work up the balls and courage to take some action, maybe get a result, but sooner or later fall back into the old routine of feeling powerless and searching for “that one key that ties it all together”.

So what is inter-game?  What is momentum game?

Momentum game is the piece that resolves what stands between a student and taking the action to get results.

The real world doesn’t lie.  The real world will show you EXACTLY where you’re at in terms of skill.  Gurus will lie and tell you that you are all-powerful now that you know these secrets.  Fuck that hype horse shit.

The real world will show you exactly what your skill level is based on the responses and results you get from the real world.

If you’ve studied “game” for 3 years but have severe approach anxiety and shake with nervousness, then that’s where you’re at.  You need a new approach.

If you’ve been banging your head against the wall for 3 years and getting mediocre results, then that’s where you’re at.  It doesn’t matter how much time you’ve sunk into it.  It doesn’t matter what you’ve read, the seminars you’ve been to or how eloquently you can regurgitate what a guru said to you.

If you can’t produce the results you want yet, you need to take a new approach.  And momentum game is the solution that Nick and I created to address this issue.

RIP Erik von Markovic September 24, 1971 – April 1, 2011

“Our good friend Erik von Markovik, aka Mystery, as we all knew and loved him, passed away early this morning in London.

Erik was one of those rare and unique individuals who shined brighter then most. Unfortunately, it seems like these are the same people who are taken from us all too soon.

Erik’s love for women and science led him to develop a system that has changed many lives. His thoughts and ideas will live on as a testament to his creative mind.

Our hearts go out to his family, and a service is scheduled in Toronto for Tuesday of next week.”

“Wow… no way,” I thought.

Then I remembered that today was April Fools Day.

Phew…

I may talk a lot of shit about guys who are following a false path into becoming a pick-up artist versus becoming a man that women want to fuck, but I have much respect and admiration for the Pick-up Artist himself.

I was having a conversation with some guys about the seduction community this past Saturday night.

These were guys that had read up on a bunch of material, read “The Game”, etc.  We were sharing our thoughts on the techniques mentioned in that book and a lot of the techniques that have come and gone in the seduction community.

I want to make a comment about the seduction community and how it came to be.  The seduction community started out during the late 80′s/early 90′s.  Feminism was rampant and the pendulum of political correctness had swung WAAAY over to an almost anti-male sentiment.  I feel like there are still some lingering after-effects of that time even today, but for the most part, the era of extreme male bashing and feminazism has past.

Still, it was during that time that Speed Seduction came to be.  In fact, as Neil Strauss mentions in “The Game”, that was also the time when the internet was beginning to form.  It didn’t look like the internet we know today, but nerdy kids like me can remember the days of BBS (Bulletin Board Systems), Echo-mail and Newsgroups.

This atmosphere helped form a cohesion among men wanting to improve their skills with women.  Think about it.  Men were afraid to speak frankly about wanting to be successful with women at that time because it was socially spat upon.  Moreover, I have to imagine that a good deal of men felt angry and resentful about how unfair that atmosphere was.

Being able to sit in front of a computer and ask questions with anonymity was a big plus.  In fact, not only did it give men an opportunity to learn… it was also an opportunity for guys to vent about their feelings.  Again, venting about relationship issues at that time was not looked upon well.

Now, it was Ross Jeffries of  Speed Seduction that created the original newsgroup alt.seduction.fast.  As such, since the general atmosphere at the time was to avoid getting caught up in “political correctness” or “feminism” traps, it makes sense that a product like Speed Seduction (circa early 90s) would be very attractive to audiences – it was marketed as a way to communicate in a covert way that would get guys laid.  Ross has since evolved his work to be more holistic, but in terms of how the general marketing of seduction materials goes, this was the heart of it.

As time went on, more seduction teachers came out of the woodwork.  For the most part, these were guys from California/Los Angeles, they all knew each other (many of them studied under prior teachers/seduction figures) and products began to launch.  Companies began to spring up.  I imagine that these guys looked at the other teachers (who they knew personally) and they said to themselves, “I could do that…”

Don’t get me wrong.  A lot of good things have come out of having more products in the playing field.  I do think that talking about how these things come about is a useful part on being able to really succeed in the game.  The reason I say this is because I think that times have changed, but the product base and the marketing has not.

Why would it?  It’s making money for the people selling it – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Still, speaking from my personal experience, my real success didn’t start into I learned how to break out of a lot of what was taught and innovate my own stuff.  There’s no reason to jump through hoops if the hoops that once existed don’t exist anymore! I believe that women are way more comfortable about being openly sexual than they used to be.  Moreover, I think the stigma that once existed about men being sexual is gone now – if anything, I think women are starving for more ballsy men to appear and sweep them off their feet.

Legend and I have spent a lot of time behind the scenes hashing out a game plan that is outside of what has been established so far in the realm of the seduction community or pick-up products in general.  There’s no reason to burn down Rome and rebuild it or to reinvent the wheel, but I certainly believe it is time to revolutionize the curriculum of improving with women and I am all for being the one to take up the challenge.
